2009
August 7-8
- Garrit acted as musical director for and will be playing piano for Center Stage Theatre's production of Little Shop of Horrors, directed by Jill Jaysen and choreographed by Broadway's Matt Loehr (Mary Poppins, Movin Out) and Penny Ayn-Maas (Cabaret). Performances are at the Seabury Center 45 Church Lane in Westport, CT. Come on down and support this great cast!

 

June 6- Garrit acted as musical director for and will be playhing piano for Center Stage Theatre's production of Letters to Daddy with music and lyrics by Mark Shepard and directed by Jill Jaysen. Performaces are at the Seabury Center 45 Church Lane in Westport, CT at 1:00pm and 7:00pm. Come support this great cast!

 

May 28-31- Garrit acted as musical director for and will be playing piano for Center Stage Theatre's production of Cabaret, directed by Jill Jaysen and choreographed by Broadway's Penny Ayn-Maas (Cabaret). Performances are at the Seabury Center 45 Church Lane in Westport, CT.

2008
November- Garrit will be taking on the role of Musical Director for the Center Stage Theatre Company in Westport, CT. The end of the year productions will be Middle School Madness with music and lyrics by Matt Corriel and book by Bette Glenn and directed by Jill Jaysen, and Thanks and Giving based on the book by Marlo Thomas, directed by Broadway's Michelle Millardi (Beauty and the Beast). The theatre is headed by Jill Jaysen.

 

July 1st-August 1st- Garrit will be acting as teacher and musical director for Broadway Bound in Bridgeport, CT. The theatre camp is run by Kate Katcher (Fiddler on the Roof (Broadway), Made For Eachother (Film)), and features a talented young group ranging in age from 6-16.

 

April 23rd- Garrit will be playing the roles of Bruce and Hugh in the reading of The Big Gay Musical at Manhattan Theatre Club. The movie/musical is written by Fred M. Caruso and Rick Crom, and features a very talented cast! Come show your support.

 

January 21st- Garrit will be a part of Monday Night New Voices at the Duplex at 7pm. The evening will be hosted by Broadway actress Ann Harada (Avenue Q, Les Miserables ), and will feature up and coming composer-lyricist Jonathan Reid Gealt. Also singing at the event will be Megan Loomis, Jesse Kissel, Natalie Weiss and David Weitzer. The Duplex is located at 61 Christopher St. There is a $12 cover and two drink minimum. Come on down and show the love!


2007
October 29th-November 16th
- Garrit will be playing the role of the Pianist for Like I Said, My Name is Shells, written by Nick Chase and Roslyn Hart (performed by Roslyn Hart) as part of the Crown Point Festival. The show plays various dates in the newly renovated and beautiful 350 seat Abrons Arts Center Mainstage. Check out the Crown Point Festival homepage for show dates!

 

October 28th- Garrit will be playing for Vanessa Wendt for An Afternoon in the Spotlight at Don't Tell Mama. This showcase features the newest talents of NYC in a Cabaret-like setting. September 9th- Garrit has won the MITF Award for "Outstanding Music and Lyrics" for his additional music for Twist.

 

August 31st- Garrit has been nominated for two Midtown International Theatre Festival Awards! They are: "Overall Outstanding Actor in a Musical" and "Outstanding Music and Lyrics". Winners will be announced on September 9th at the Festival Wrap Party located at the Zipper Tavern at 6:30pm. This event is open to the public, so come on down and show your love!



July 27th-August 5th
- Starring originals Reymundo Santiago (Twist) and Garrit Guadan (Mr. Sowerberry/Fagin), Twist (2007 Drama Desk Nomination, Outstanding Music) will be presented at the Midtown International Theatre Festival, performing in the Workshop Theatre's Mainstage. Old audiences of Twist will be in for new surprises, and New audiences will be in for a story that mixes Victorian Erotica, tasteful Bondage, and Luscious Drag to create a tale that remains remarkably close to the original story-a tale of hope, finding oneself, and redemption. May 22nd

April 26th- Twist, with book and lyrics by Gila Sand and music by Paul Leschen with Gila Sand*, has been nominated for a 2007 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music. The Drama Desk Awards will be presented May 20th, and will be broadcast live on www.theatremania.com. Congratulations to the cast and creative team of Twist!

April 16th- Godspell, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, is being presented by the Spotlight Players of Long Island, and Garrit is acting as pianist and Pit Conductor. Come and support this wonderful group of individuals! Performances are running April 20th- May 6th, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm. Performances are held at the United Church of Rockville Centre, 430 Morris Avenue. Call (631) 225-9102 for information and directions.

 

February 27th-The performance of Twist at Manhattan Theatre Source has been CANCELLED. Twist will be performing for three nights at another venue TBA in three weeks. Check back for updates over the weekend, or visit www.themusicaltwist.com or www.myspace.com/twistthemusical for more info.


February 4th- Garrit will be accompanying Denise Estrada (Twist) for her Cabaret Down with Love at Don't Tell Mama's on February 22nd at 8:30pm and February 25th at 3:00pm.. $10 Cover, two drink minimum (cash only). Come support these great artists! More information at www.donttellmama.com.

- Happy New Year everyone! Only 7 more chances to see Twist! Be aware that the show for Monday, January 8th has been cancelled.

 

December 13th- Twist has opened! With book and lyrics by Gila Sand and music by Paul Leschen (Scissor Sisters), Twist is playing at the Kraine Theatre, located at 85 E. 4th St. between 2nd and 3rd Avenues in Manhattan.
