ASL Interpretation- One of the great joys of theatre is being able to have anyone and everyone come to your production. In the Deaf Community, theatre is a joy that is not always accessible, as theatrical interpreters can be hard to find. Since 2003, Garrit has been working as an ASL interpreter for the stage, having interpreted productions of Beauty and the Beast, The Diary of Anne Frank, and was the resident interpreter for the Rainier Valley Ensemble Theatre in Seattle, Washington. He was the first and only student at the University of Puget Sound to take an American Sign Language fluency test and pass with 100% accuracy. Having a show interpreted can be a wonderful and beautiful experience for hearing and Deaf people alike. Contact Garrit for more information, including rates and availability.
*Garrit also works as a freelance interpreter, and offers ASL tutoring.*
